Hello electric motorcycle riders and builders --
I am hoping to get some conversation flowing on this new forum so I'll see if I can get it started. I'm a motorcycle enthusiast who started becoming interested in electric motorcycles about two years ago. It all started when I joined a electric motorcycle race team at The Ohio State University. Let's just say it wasn't what I expected going in and now I think I spend more time working on electric motorcycles with the team than I do on classes and homework .. (It's quite the addiction).
I'm a computer engineer as an undergrad and therefore work on a lot of the software for components that end up on the bike such as microcontrollers and dataloggers. With the large experience I have with programming, I also help create software applications which helps aid team when analyzing potential motorcycle builds. If you have any questions about datalogging, microcontrollers, motors, motor controllers, or software and different programming languages, let me know and I will do my best to answer them or redirect them to someone who can. If there's a desire to see what we are doing with our motorcycles, let me know and I will try to work something up.
But most importantly, I'm interested in talking about electric motorcycles. I also ride but I don't own an electric currently. I hope to do a gas to electric conversion in the future though!

Thank you so much for joining. You will be a very useful and popular member here!
I do not have the skills that you list above, but I am really into motorcycles and the new wave that is fast approaching. I am building a bike right now and going off articles and othes builds as a guide. As people join and this site grows, I will start sharing my build, my many mistakes, and my ride.
I am very happy that you have joined and hope that you share with us often!

Great to hear Sparky! And see that's one of the reasons why forums like this are great. People are able to ask questions they are having a hard time finding an answer to and then others are able to answer and share the knowledge they possess.
I'm definitely interested in seeing some posts about your build. I'll keep my eyes open.
